Tokyo Revengers live-action film is getting a sequel in 2023
This weekend, the live-action film Tokyo Revengers 2021 premiered on Japanese television. This broadcast was accompanied by great news: a sequel to the film!
Tokyo Revengers 2 will continue in 2023 the adaptation of Ken Wakui's sci-fi/action manga, which currently has more than 65 million copies in circulation worldwide. Takumi Kitamura once again stars as protagonist Takemichi Hanagaki, and Tsutomu Hanabusa returns to direct.

Kitamura said he is looking forward to seeing the other cast members again and practicing martial arts with them again. Wakui is also very excited about the sequel to this manga adaptation, pointing out that we'll get to see new characters in action.
The first season of the anime adaptation of Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers manga aired on Crunchyroll from April to September 2021 and is available in VOSTFR and VF. The anime is directed by Koichi Hatsumi (Deadman Wonderland) at LIDEN FILMS studio with a screenplay by Yasuyuki Muto. The sequel to Tokyo Revengers will debut in January 2023

Summary:
Takemichi Hanagaki hasn't really been successful in life. He works odd jobs without interest and when he learns that the only girlfriend he ever had in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, was killed by the ruthless Tokyo Manji-kai gang, he is devastated. The next day, still in shock, he was pushed onto the rails of the station during a crowd movement. But Takemichi doesn't die and when he wakes up, he's gone back twelve years. He will thus find his best years, but also try to save the one who loves him and take his revenge on life...
